In 2020 A+ Schools released the 15th publication of our annual Report to the Community on Public School Progress in Pittsburgh. Each year, this book offers important data and baseline information on our city’s public and charter schools and serves as a valuable school-choice resource for families.

The 2020 Report includes expanded contextual information for each school and a look at three-year trends in test scores across each grade level. There are also two new features–a School Choice and Enrollment Guide, answering some of the top FAQs parents have brought to us over the years–and a High School Opportunity Chart. The book also begins with four stories about schools that are achieving in unexpected ways, in the return of the ‘Rising Up’ section.

As with so many other aspects of life that have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s book is not quite the same. It is our goal and our hope that we can offer more information for families than in past years, to help them understand their school options across the district.
